A Great Day

Yesterday was a great day. Nothing major or super exciting happened. We were just able to spend the day together as a family. Doing family kinds of things. After getting the lawn mowed, we loaded up the kids and went to the park for a picnic lunch. The weather was beautiful and the kids played until they were worn out. Then we went to PayLess to get shoes for Jase, Hanna and Olivia. After we got home the kids ran through the sprinkler while Olivia napped. While David was in school and working, days like this one were really just a dream. But it was this dream that we told ourselves would make all the hard work and sacrifice worth it. It certainly did. And maybe because that super busy, stressful time in our lives is still such a fresh memory we appreciate the simple things in life so much more. Buy I hope not. I hope we can always enjoy the simple things in life with our children. I hope that we have many, many more simply wonderful days.
