The Things We Do

Olivia is growing so fast. It feels like each day she becomes a little less "baby" and a little more "kid". I thought I would post a few pictures of what she is up to on a daily basis around here.

She totally feeds herself like a big girl. And it's possible she may even be a bit of a lefty.

She thinks the recycling is great. I clean up this mess pretty much on a daily basis.

Probably the thing she likes to do most is climb. Awesome, right?!

She pretty much thinks she belongs on top of this table. It's her favorite place to play.

Olivia is also mastering the stairs quite well. She really can go down them all by herself without too much trouble, she just has a really wimpy mom. Every time I see Olivia on the stairs my heart jumps and I can't help but picture her tumbling down them head first. Maybe some day I can get over my fear and actually get rid of the baby gates!

She also loves to play on the rocking chair. How cute is she rocking her baby doll?!

Watching Hanna play the iPad.

Rocking with Hanna. Olivia loves pretty much anything her brother and sisters are doing.

Occasionally I can get these two to slow down enough for some reading/snuggle time.

Yellowstone

So I am sitting here with Olivia, waiting for her to decide she is tired. So far, not so much. Anyway, I thought I would go ahead and post the pictures from our trip to Yellowstone over Labor Day weekend. I'm just a few weeks behind, right?! We met up with Marlayna and her parents. They have been going to Yellowstone every year for pretty much as long as any of them can remember, so they were the perfect tour guides!

Checking out the view

I love those cute little bums!
The Lower (?) falls
Visiting Yellowstone brings back lots of memories of being there as a little girl with my parents and siblings. I love creating those memories with my little family.

David explaining how the canyon came to be...
Buffalo...we saw lots of buffalo

Okay, this buffalo was SO CLOSE to our car. I did not zoom in at all for this picture. I literally could have reached out my window and touched this massive animal. I didn't. I'm not stupid. ;)

On our way out of the park we finally saw something besides buffalo. There were actually quite a few elk in this meadow. Pretty fun to see. Although not for Hanna so much. All she wanted to see was a bear. She was so disappointed we didn't see any bears. :(
Stinky mud pots
Playing in Yellowstone Lake
Ya gotta get your feet muddy, right?!

Marlayna, Olivia and me. Being with Marlayna was one of best parts of this trip. She is such a great friend to me and we love her so very much. She and David even almost have me talked into a several day camping trip in Yellowstone next summer. We will see. Until then I am thankful to live close enough that we can make it a day trip. :)
